"Missed Opportunity”

Artist StatementFor this work I wanted to explore the emotional attachment we developed by missing events in our life. Regardless of how big or small, these events play a huge role in how we develop as human beings. But what happens when you miss these critical moments? Does it negatively affect us or was it for the best that we missed it? Is it possible to recreate it and in order to experience the emotional development that you missed out on? That’s what I’m ultimately asking with this project and why I chose Clay as a medium. I believe that by using clay one is able to re-insert himself into the events without needing to wait for the opportunity to come again.
